FAQ
Answers about construction, leather and PU, capacity, currencies, payment, delivery and returns.
01 How it is made
Is there really no stitching?
None. Each piece is cut from one flat blank and held together only by its folds, slots and rivets. The dieline on every product page shows exactly where it is cut (red), folded (dashes) and riveted (circles).
Are your pieces handmade?
We do not make that claim. The blanks are die-cut with a steel-rule die, then folded and riveted. What we promise is the pattern you see and the materials we list.
Will the folds flatten out or loosen?
Full-grain leather keeps a crease and softens where it bends. The rivets fix the layers, so the shape does not come apart. Over the first weeks a card holder relaxes slightly and cards slide in more easily.
Why publish the dielines?
Because the pattern is the design. Seeing the flat blank tells you how big the piece is, how it closes and how many layers there are before you buy it.
02 Materials
What leather do you use?
Full-grain cowhide leather, about 1.4 mm thick, for most pieces. We do not claim a particular tanning method or origin. Every product page names the material.
What does “PU” mean on some pieces?
Those pieces are made of PU-coated microfibre, which is not leather. It is lighter and keeps its colour well. Currently: the Slipcase and Hinge card holders, the Kite Coin Pouch, the Mini Tray, and the Kite and Pinwheel charms.
What are the rivets made of?
Solid brass. Press studs are brass too; key rings are steel and bag-charm clips are brass. Brass darkens slowly with handling, which is normal.
Do your wallets block RFID? Are they waterproof?
No. Leather does not shield RFID and it is not waterproof. If a piece gets wet, let it dry naturally away from heat.
How do I care for the leather?
Wipe with a dry, soft cloth. Keep it away from direct heat and long periods of sun. A small amount of neutral leather balm now and then keeps it supple; test on the inside first. Light colours (Sand) can take on colour from dark denim.
03 Sizes and capacity
How many cards fit?
Each product page shows a range, counted with standard 0.76 mm bank cards. The first number is comfortable; the second is the most it takes. The full list is on the Sizes & capacity page.
Which piece should I choose?
Try the pocket list: tick how many cards, keys and coins you carry and it suggests a card holder, key pouch and coin purse that fit, in one colourway.
04 Orders and payment
Which currencies can I pay in?
US dollars, euros, British pounds, Danish kroner and Swedish kronor. Prices switch to the currency of your delivery country, and every price shows its currency code (for example 38 USD or 269 DKK).
How can I pay?
The payment methods available for your order are shown at checkout. Card payments are handled by our payment provider over an encrypted connection; we never see or store your full card number. Your statement will show SYLQENN.
Do you have discount codes or sales?
No. We do not run promotions or discount codes. If that ever changes, the conditions will be shown next to the offer.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, until it has been dispatched. Email us with your order number as soon as possible, or use the withdrawal form.
05 Delivery and returns
Where do you deliver and what does it cost?
To the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden and eleven eurozone countries, with tracked delivery at one flat rate per order. See Shipping for costs and times per country.
Will I pay customs or import tax?
If your parcel crosses a customs border, your country may charge import VAT or duties. The Shipping page explains when this can happen.
How do returns work?
You can return unused items within 30 days of delivery. Customers in the EU and UK also have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal. See Returns & Refunds, or withdraw from contract here.
